CECS Level II for Lecturers

    CECS Level II Course for Lecturers was organized in Moscow in the period of May 18-25, 2008. It was attended by 15 participants (3 women) from 10 countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus (2), Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia (3), Tajikistan, Ukraine (3).

    Lectures were delivered by the IAAF Official Lecturers Tahar Righi (Algeria) and Joel Sever (Mauritius).  Theory sessions were held in the adequately equipped rooms of the Russia State University for Physical Education, Sports and Tourism, while practical sessions were held in the indoor athletics of this University. Program elaborated by IAAF specially for this Course, was completed in full.

    Participants had to deliver theoretical and practical presentations and had to sit for a written  exam. The assessment of the participants’ level was made in 6 areas. All participants received good overall marks, however, only three participants received the right to be Course Directors CECS Level II in the Russian speaking countries: Mikhail Akilov (Ukraine), Ms Elena Gridasova (Russia) and Alexandr Kruglikov (Kazakhstan). Three participants are authorized to be assistants of the Course |Director in the Russian speaking countries: Ms Zhanna Gureeva (Belarus), Vladimir Konestiapin (Ukraine) and Vladimir Chemov (Russia). Others will be able to work as Assistants to the Course Directors CECS Level II in their own countries. 

    All the required materials have been translated into Russian language and distributed among the participants on CDs.
